About Magahi Language

The Magahi language is spoken in India by about 11, 362, 00 speakers. Magahi language is closely related to Bhojpuri and Maithali languages. Magahi language is written in the Devanagari Script and in the earlier times, it was written in the Kaithi script also. The younger generation of educated Magahi speakers prefers to call this language as Magadhi as compared to its original name Magahi. The different dialects from which this language has been evolved have left a great impression on the structure and the grammar of this language, which only a native person would be able to understand.
