About Sindhi Language

Sindhi language is spoken in Sindh region, which lies in Pakistan. The language has 24,410,910 speakers in Pakistan, and is also spoken in India by approximately 2,535,485 speakers. Sindhi is an official language of the Sindh province, and is third official language in Pakistan. Sindhi is also included as an official language in the constitutional schedule of India.

Sindhi is an Indo-Aryan language of the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. The language has also got visible signs of heavy Dravidian, with the influence taken from the spoken Sanskrit. Sindhi follows Arabic, Devanagari and Laṇḍā writing system, and is ranked as 23rd language in the world.
